THE GOSPEL

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. -John 1:1-3

They have all turned aside, They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one. -Psalm 14:3

But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear. -Isaiah 59:2

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. -John 3:16

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. -Isaiah 53:5-6

For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures- -1 Corinthians 15:3-4

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." -John 14:6

"-that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." -Romans 10:9

God (Yahweh) created all things. He created us to have dominion over all the Earth, but we disobeyed Him. The payment for our disobedience, or our sin, is death- physical and spiritual death, which is eternal separation from our Creator, God. Sin is so serious that it must be paid with blood, which is why animals were sacrificed in ancient times, but sin was only excused temporarily- so here's what God did for us: God loves us so much that He came to the Earth as a man, Jesus, who is the only man to have no sin. Although He is still God, He allowed Himself to live in a body that feels pain and has limitations like ours.  Jesus was mocked, beaten, whipped, and nailed to a wooden cross to die. Jesus, being innocent and sinless, didn't deserve death like we do, but in His death, He paid the price of sin that we couldn't. That is similar to somebody committing a serious crime and another person voluntarily taking his/her death sentence, while he/she goes free. There is nothing that you must do to earn this payment because it is a gift. To accept the gift, put your faith in Jesus ALONE and you will be saved, which means you go to Heaven.

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
